How to Use the App

1. After installing GIVE A RING app from Google Play, open the app and enter your Russian mobile number. If you're a new user, tap Register.

2. Enter the code from the SMS message.

3. To call Russian numbers, you need to complete a simple verification process: take a selfie and upload a photo of your Russian internal passport. This is required by Russian law №126-FZ. If you plan to make calls only outside Russia, you can skip this step.

4. Top up your account by credit or debit card.

5. Activate a Moscow number for ₽100/month. It's required for calling Russian numbers. Incoming calls and setup are free. If you plan to make calls only outside Russia, you can skip this step.

Yes, if you are planning to call Russian numbers, your identity has to be verified with a selfie and a Russian passport picture, per law №126-FZ. If you are planning to call outside of Russia, no Russian passport and ID verification is required.
Yes, currently that is the only way to register. However, we are planning to add other options in the future.
You can top up your balance using SBP (Fast Payment System) inside the app.
Call rates are displayed under the dialed number in the app after registration.
Yes, incoming calls to your Moscow number are free.
You need a Russian mobile phone number to register in the app. Download Give a Ring from Google Play, open it, enter your Russian mobile number, and enter the SMS verification code.
Yes, calls between Give a Ring app users are completely free. To make a free call, open the Contacts section and choose the person you want to call. If they are also registered in Give a Ring, you'll see a green icon with two phone receivers next to their name. Tap it to start your free call.
